## Job Description
We are seeking an organised, commercially aware and detail-focused Paralegal to support the legal team with a broad range of legal, regulatory and administrative matters.
The Paralegal will assist with legal research, contract preparation, document review, case management, regulatory compliance and the maintenance of accurate legal records. The successful candidate must be able to manage competing priorities, handle confidential information and produce high-quality work within agreed deadlines.
## Key Responsibilities
* Conduct legal research and prepare clear summaries, reports and briefing notes.
* Draft, review and format contracts, correspondence, legal notices and other legal documents.
* Assist lawyers with corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, litigation and compliance matters.
* Review contracts and identify key obligations, risks, deadlines and renewal dates.
* Maintain contract registers, matter trackers, company records and legal filing systems.
* Support company incorporations, corporate filings, board meetings and governance requirements.
* Prepare board resolutions, meeting agendas, minutes, powers of attorney and corporate documents.
* Assist with legal and regulatory due diligence exercises.
* Organise evidence, correspondence and supporting documents for disputes or court proceedings.
* Liaise with internal departments, external legal advisers, regulators, government authorities and other third parties.
* Monitor legal deadlines, court dates, filing requirements and contractual obligations.
* Support compliance activities, including data protection, anti-money laundering, conflicts checks and internal policy reviews.
* Assist with the preparation of legal reports, presentations and management updates.
* Maintain confidentiality and ensure that legal information is handled securely.
* Carry out general administrative and operational tasks required by the legal team.
## Qualification Requirements
### Essential
* Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies or a related discipline.
* Previous experience working as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or in a comparable legal support role.
* Good understanding of legal terminology, legal documents and legal research methods.
* Strong drafting, proofreading and document-review skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, risks and missing information.
* Ability to manage multiple matters and meet strict deadlines.
* Strong organisational, administrative and record-management skills.
* Ability to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and document-management systems.
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a legal or multidisciplinary team.
### Desirable
* Legal Practice Course, Solicitors Qualifying Examination studies, Bar qualification studies or an equivalent professional legal qualification.
* Experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, litigation, employment law, regulatory compliance or corporate governance.
* Experience drafting or reviewing commercial agreements.
* Experience supporting board meetings, company-secretarial work or corporate filings.
* Familiarity with legal research databases and contract-management software.
* Knowledge of data protection, anti-money laundering, know-your-customer and regulatory compliance requirements.
* Experience working within an in-house legal department, law firm, regulated business or international organisation.
* Knowledge of the laws and regulatory environment applicable to the jurisdiction in which the organisation operates.
